“Diamonds are a girl’s best friend,” a true fact of life according to Hollywood. Diamonds are said to last forever and symbolize love and luxury, but how would you feel if your symbol of love aided to the environmental devastation of certain areas in the world? Both the mining of gold and diamonds are inherent to social and environmental controversy for decades.

At Diamo Diamonds we believe in sustainable luxury. By using only Laboratory grown diamonds and recycled gold we try to minimize this social and environmental impact whilst creating our magnificent jewelry.

The Diamo solitaire diamond jewelry collection exhales luxury and craftsmanship. Every rough diamond is manmade after which it has been cut to  perfection to create a perfect brilliant diamond full of life and fire. The pure gold used to make the 14 karat gold rings, earrings and necklaces has been purely recycled. To finish each Diamo Diamond jewel a signature manmade emerald is visibly placed inside.

Beauty, elegance and responsible; a Diamo Diamond can truly be considered a girls’ best friend.

Lab Grown Diamonds

The diamonds that we use in our jewelry are lab grown. That means that they are created in controlled laboratory environments using modern technology that duplicate the conditions under which diamonds naturally develop. These diamonds are just as real as mined diamonds. They have the same physical and chemical properties and are grown under the same temperature and pressure as in diamond mines.

The greatest thing about lab grown diamonds is that they are environmentally friendly. Diamond mining has wreaked environmental havoc throughout Africa and other parts of the world. Irresponsible diamond mining has caused soil erosion, led to deforestation, forced local populations to relocate and led to exploitation of rivers and streams. In extreme cases, diamond mining can cause the entire ecosystem to collapse.

Beside that lab grown diamonds are environmentally friendly, they are also more beautiful due to better, brighter quality and higher purity, they have fewer defects, they are more affordable and the origin sources are trackable.

Recycled Gold

The gold we use to create our jewelry is recycled. This gold will typically come from waste products, consumer products, unused metal and other items that are made from gold. These products are melted down and refined until it reaches its purest form. After that it is checked for impurities and created into our jewelry.

Using recycled gold is less impactful on the environment. gold mining is one of the most destructive activities in the world. It has polluted water and land with mercury and cyanide, endangering the health of people and the environment. Because recycled gold is made from other gold items, we don’t destroy the environment on the mining for new gold. Plus, gold can also be melted down and recycled over and over again and it will never lose its value or purity.
